Halloween and Go Cowboys!!

DJ was Buzz Lightyear for Halloween and Ben was a giraffe. These pics are at the Trunk or Treat put on by our church the Saturday night before. It was a good thing we went because DJ was sick on Halloween day so we didn't get to go out. I don't know if there is a worse tragedy in this world than for a kid than to be sick on Halloween. But even he didn't want to go out, so we knew it was serious.

Grandma and Grandpa came in town last week to visit and we toured Texas Stadium during their visit. I really do believe this would be a better world if people would spend more time at Texas Stadium.

State Fair of Texas!

Last weekend we went to the State Fair of Texas with Dave, Ginger, Bryan, Amy, and James. Tiff and I had the obligitory corny dogs and they boys had fun seeing the animals, people, and the parade. DJ also got to ride his first ever rollercoaster!

Her was barely tall enough, as seen below, but he told us he was "going to be brave" and he really wanted to ride it.

So he and dad rode it he was great. Lots of people and lots of walking, but lots of family fun!!

Day at the Zoo

Tiff took the boys to the zoo last week with her friend Heidi and her boys. School was back in, so it wasn't busy at all. She got some great pics.

Another birthday....

DJ turned 4 on July 3rd. Crazy how time flies. He was very excited about his presents and about going to the Rangers game, which is quickly becoming a yearly tradition. It was a fun family event.

I'm taking some time off this week to be with the family. I got out and mowed and Tiff weeded today just before the downpour started again. It has rained everyday for I don't know how long. Its just wet everywhere.

Firework Show!

A HUGE park close to our house had a firework show at about 10pm tonight. We were able to see most of it from our backyard. Ben STILL hadn't fallen asleep by then so we brought him out to see it. He would have seen more if he had his eyes open!

Attack of the caterpillars!

On Saturday we noticed some bare areas and some fuzzy things on our pecan tree in our back yard. Further investigation led to the discovery of probably 50 caterpillars getting fat on our leaves! I've never seen anything like it. Wonder if they're surviving the rain tonight....

Word on the street is that people actually look at this blog (thanks for the support Amy!) As such, I will be better about updating it....starting tonight. And since I got a new computer at work that has an internal SD card reader, it will be much easier to do so. Enjoy.
